Born and raised in New York City, Darren Wan's childhood was a blend of Western, Chinese, and Peruvian cultures. This led to an appreciation of each of these cuisines.
Red Egg is, from design to menu, a reflection of this trinity along with its reinvention to bring it into the future. Its décor is a modern take of the traditional Chinese tea houses and reveals the diverse intersection of Chinatown, Nolita and SoHo.
